WE NEED YOUR HELP!
The American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities’ (AAIDD) ad hoc Committee on Adaptive Behavior Assessment Instrument needs your help with identifying potential interviewers (we hope this includes you) to assess typically-developing individuals - ages 4 to 21 years old (inclusively) as part of the standardizing process of developing a state-of-the-art adaptive behavior scale.
Call For Interviewers to Assess Typically-Developing Individuals!
The Diagnostic Adaptive Behavior Scale (DABS) – eventually to be published by the AAIDD – will facilitate the diagnosis of intellectual disability. The DABS consists of 259 items across the three adaptive behavior domains of conceptual, social, and practical skills. It is very important to obtain DABS data on individuals from the general population. Its administration requires the involvement of an interviewer and a respondent and takes approximately 60 minutes.
What You Need To Know:
Your help with this project would be greatly appreciated and an important contribution to the field. Please consider participating and/or forwarding this flyer to others who may be potential interviewers.
